St. Vincent de Paul
Do you want to grow in your capacity to love and put your faith into action? Why go it alone?! We meet every other week throughout the semester to encourage each other in our prayer and service, to share our experiences of service (both in St. Vinnie’s activities and through other organizations).
All members of the St. Paul’s community are welcome: underclassmen, upperclassmen, grad. students, and other non-student members – all of the above are currently attending our regular meetings. For more information or to sign up for our monthly email update, email Gayle.
Members are currently involved in these service activities:
- Home Visits: visiting the needy in their homes and providing them with vouchers for donated furniture
- Serving at the local food pantry: hosting clients in the Society’s food pantry on South Park St.
- Vinnie’s Lockers program: assisting with the Vinnie’s Lockers program providing the homeless with a place to store their belongings
- Second Harvest program: helping to harvest asparagus, squash, and potato fields that have been donated to the food pantry.
Questions? Email Gayle.
Students for Life
Students for Life of Madison is the pro-life student organization at UW-Madison. SFLM is dedicated to promoting a culture of life on the UW campus: life for the unborn child, life for the elderly, and quality of life and care for the thousands of women pressured into or misinformed about abortion every day. Through education and outreach – as well as constructive, compassionate dialogue with people on all sides of the abortion debate – we work to advance the message that all life has value and worth and that women deserve support during an unexpected pregnancy.
