MADISON – Wine, dine, and dance for a cause! Saint Paul’s Spring Wine Fest will return on Friday, April 24th to downtown Madison at the Kohl Center. Benefactors, alumni, and Catholics from all over the Midwest will come together to celebrate the highlights of this ministry year and build momentum for the year ahead. Join us at this iconic Badger venue to be inspired by the lives of so many young people at Saint Paul’s on fire for Christ.
Fr. Dave Carrano, pastor of Saint Paul’s, draws comparison between wine and the mission on campus, saying “There’s room in the wine cellar for all kinds of wine: from a brunello (bold, fine wines which are aged for decades) to the vini novelli (young wines which undergo a rapid fermentation which are light and fruit-forward). The Lord is bringing new life to the Church through our young people, so you don’t want to miss Wine Fest, an opportunity to experience the joy of the Spirit that characterizes the new wine the Lord is raising up at Saint Paul’s.”
Saint Paul’s Mission
Saint Paul’s exists to form the students of UW-Madison to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. On a bustling campus of 50,000+ students, Saint Paul’s is a beacon of light and a home for students, where they can receive the sacraments daily and learn to live out their Catholic faith. Small groups, community events, Eucharistic Adoration, and intellectual formation programs are just a few of the weekly offerings for students.
Saint Paul’s aims to provide well-rounded spiritual formation for each person, help them discover a deep prayer life, and make great friendships. This foundation formed during their college years helps our alumni boldly live the Faith in their families, parishes, and workplaces long after they leave campus.
Event Details
The Spring Wine Fest starts with a joyful reunion over wine tasting. There will be eight different wines from a variety of regions.
A delicious buffet dinner follows, followed by a program featuring live testimonies from a few of the students impacted by our mission. Guests are assured to be renewed in their hope for the future of the Church – thanks to our faithful young people! Socializing and live music follow the program.
